Interstates and primary roads are much improved for the morning commute.
Road crews say it could be some time before all the streets in the Tri-State are clear of the snow which fell on the area over the last 36 hours. Blustery winds and frigid temperatures have created a layer of ice and are causing delays for crews trying to clear the roads.
Local 12 Meteorologist John Gumm says the snow may be done for now, but the cold temperatures will stick around.
Some schools remain closed this morning, and many more are on a delay. More than 400 churches canceled activities for Wednesday night. You can see the full list on our
Local 12 Schoolwatch line.
Metro buses have a few detours in effect. Riders can also expect some minor delays as drivers use extra caution on snowy roads. And if your stop is on a hill, you're asked to go to the top or the bottom, because it's hard for buses to stop. You can find out if your route is affected by calling the
Metro hotline at 513-632-7538. Tank in Northern Kentucky also has a few detours. Shuttle vans are also operating on hills on a couple of routes. You can call
859-331-Tank for updated information.
